EGR throttle with modulator, the EGR valve in MAN vehicles contributes to meeting stringent exhaust emission standards. Thanks to precise control of exhaust gas recirculation, it is possible to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions, which translates into cleaner air and better environmental quality.

Correct adjustment of exhaust gas recirculation to driving conditions translates into greater power, torque and engine flexibility. Thanks to this, MAN Euro 5 can provide high efficiency and driving comfort both on long routes and in urban conditions.

What are controllers/modulators?
Car controllers are devices in the form of small boxes. They have their own processors, memory and software. Controllers used in vehicles perform various functions, the aim of which is always to achieve optimal operating parameters of the engine and other components.

Electric controllers control the operation of the car, among others:

drive unit – they control, among others the work of injections, dosing the right amount of fuel, the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases, the amount of intake air, ignition or turbocharging;
automatic transmission – they allow to reduce the mechanical loads on the transmission parts, ensure smoother gear changes;
braking system – activate, among others, ABS system in case of difficulties encountered during braking.
