What is an exhaust manifold for Scania R Euro 6; Scania XPI Euro 6 OE 2138390?

The exhaust/outlet manifold is a set of pipes made of strong and corrosion-resistant cast iron. Each cylinder has a separate tube that extracts harmful gases from it. They all go to the connecting pipe and then to the Scania R Euro 6 EGR exhaust gas cooler; Scania XPI Euro 6 OE 2138390, part of which goes to the turbocharger and back to the combustion chamber, and the remaining part to the catalytic converter. All this to reduce exhaust emissions as much as possible in accordance with Euro 6 standards in Scania R or Scania XPI cars.

Symptoms of Scania Euro 6 exhaust manifold failure OE 2138390

The most common failure is a crack in the collector due to its location right next to the engine in Scania Euro 6. The collector, due to the vibrations transferred to it, is more susceptible to damage. An engine that vibrates heavily at low revs also weakens this part of the exhaust system. Manifold in Scania R Euro 6; Scania XPI Euro 6 also operates at very high temperatures, from 800 °C to 900 °C. As a consequence, part of the system usually cracks along the joints. The engine then produces much more noise and a metallic sound, loud enough to be heard in the cabin. Sometimes exhaust gases appear in the area of the engine and the car's power decreases. Similar symptoms can also be caused by damage to the exhaust manifold gasket. The engine then runs even louder than in the case of a broken part, and the noises are also heard when the unit is not warmed up.
